Winter Wonderland Dining Room Tablescape
The napkins were inherited and have a beautiful cut work design in the corner. They are covered with white organza napkin sheaths and the napkin rings are antique silver ones from the early 19th century.
My favorite things are the silver butter dishes and the crystal salt cellars. They seem to impart the graciousness of earlier, less hurried times when mealtimes were lingering and not rushed in order to get to soccer practice!!!.
The centerpiece is in a cut glass vase given to me by my grandmother and filled with artificial tulips and white cymbidium orchids as well as some silver, glittery things that look like forsythia. The tulips had just enough green leaves on them so that it wasn't necessary to add additional foliage.
always say they were handed down by a relative!!
The serving table was set up with the champagne bucket and silver overlay sherbets. The favors were put on the other silver tray so guests could depart with them in 2014!! I'm participating in Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On the Porch.
